About Dwight McDonald

Bio:

I’m Dwight McDonald — a seasoned technologist, entrepreneur, and community advocate based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. With over 30 years of experience in the information technology field and leadership roles at GTECH (now IGT), Tyco Healthcare (now Medtronic), IBM, and Kyndryl (former IBM subsidiary). I’ve helped Fortune 500 companies embrace the latest solutions, adapt to change, and move to the cloud.

In 2024, I moved to Tulsa, OK to build something meaningful in a new community. Today, I run several businesses, organize the Tulsa AWS User Group, and serve as a mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters and other initiatives.

I’m also writing a book, Exit Interview, to document my journey and to shine a light on the importance of diversity, representation, and training in the tech space.

Core Values:

Equity, empowerment, local impact, legacy building.
